Only I would do something like this 🤦‍♂️🚨

Heyo! Me again :)                                                                    Sent 9/13/21

How's it going? I have had a great week idk about yall. But life never stops getting interesting.

So this week I picked up Elder Thomas, and He is a stud. He is super prepared and is doing way better than me, I swear he's actually training me rather than the other way around. But he is pretty sick, he is from Utah, so that good bad, but a total stud muffin everywhere else.

This week was interesting, we talked with a bunch of people which was cool. Unfortunately none of them really liked us, and didn't want to talk to us so that was cool too. But this week while we were biking to a visit, my bike pedal snapped off, so I had to like scooter my bike the rest of the way there, but it was wack because like the whole pedal came off and there is no way to put it back together, and who would've thought something like that could happen. So i have been borrowing a bike in the meantime so that's great.

But I thought I would help Elder Thomas build some character, so we decided to go out and knock on some doors in 108° weather because why not right? But it's great he loves me and I love him, and he's a good sport and we have fun.

I also finally finished this tie that I have been making. It is waaaaay sick, I got some fabric from Walmart and made a tie for like $5 and it is a pretty good looking tie as well. So that has been pretty fun. Me and Elder Thomas, are going to make matching ties too, to go along with our matching pocket notebooks, and matching bike lights, which are cool and I will have to send a pic next week so stay tuned 😉, and our matching bike helmets. So needless to say we are going to be the coolest kids on the block.😜

Also today we were playing some chair soccer in the gym, and me being the clumsy person I am ran into the wall, and in the process somehow pulled the fire alarm. So that was cool, the fire department came and reset the alarm, and they weren't to happy, so that was even better. But hey, now I can say when I was on my mission I accidentally pulled a fire alarm, and not many people can say that so… yea that's me. 😁

But that is about it from me, stay tuned next week because I will have better pictures, but I love you all! And as always stay safe out there!

Well this is sure to be an adventure!

Hey all!                                                                                                      Sent out 9/6/21

Sorry it has been a really long time since I have written an email. I have been really busy lately but it has been awesome! We have been super busy, but it has been fun. I have loved being with Elder Hardy.

This week was transfers so all the missionaries are moving around, and I found out that I am staying in the same area but I will be training a BRAND NEW MISSIONARY! It is sure to be an adventure for sure.

Me and Elder Hardy though have been working super hard and it has been fun. We have talked and met with so many different people and trying our best to share the gospel in any way that we can. Meeting new people though is seriously the best, why I couldn't really tell ya. The really cool thing is that everyone has a story, and I am able to learn a lot about people's story and just enjoy their fellowship.

We have had some crazy lessons with people and it has been really cool. We have met and talked with people from all walks of faith, some of whom are polite about sharing and others not so much. But the great thing is that we all can enjoy the company of Christ in whatever way we choose to worship.

But an awesome thing is that I have become an absolute basketball maniac. We play a bunch of basketball every week, and it has changed me into a way better player. Normally my sport is soccer many of you may know, but missionaries down here all love and play basketball so I play and have become INSANE, so you better watch out 😉

Well that is about it from me hopefully next week I will have more time and a better email. But I hope you all have an amazing week, and as always Stay safe out there!

Elder Normandin is A Trainer!!!

Dear Brother and Sister Normandin

I want to express our gratitude for the excellent service of your son.  As you must surely feel from His letters, he is doing well.   I am impressed with his goodness and strength.  This letter is to inform you that Elder Normandin has just been assigned as a trainer. I have every confidence that he will be a great trainer.

There is no position in the mission more important than being a trainer.  The future of the mission depends upon the work the trainers do.  It is a difficult and challenging assignment, as trainers must do most of the talking and teaching.  They have a great responsibility for the development of their new companions. This assignment says a great deal about your son’s abilities and talents and the personal respect and admiration I feel for him.  Your son  has shown great talent and ability in sharing the gospel.  He has gained the respect of  companions and trust of his leaders.

Thank you for supporting your son as he continues to make a positive difference here in the Arizona Phoenix Mission. Your encouragement at this time will be more important than ever.  Elder Normandin is a wonderful missionary and we love him.  We appreciate all you have done.  Please feel my best wishes for you and your family.  Your sacrifices are recognized and appreciated.  God bless you!

With love and respect,

President Brik V. Eyre
