Missionary road trip's are fun

Sup my beautiful people,

Hope you all have had a great week, this week was mediocre for the most part. But still a fun one nonetheless, we had a pretty cool Ward Picnic, along with a pretty wack district service activity.

To start off, we have been going to mutual activities and it has been super fun. They played chair soccer this week, and I was super jealous, because with mission rules we weren't allowed to play, but we made the most of it. We also went to this Ward Picnic event, and it has been super fun being able to meet and get to know these wards better.

We have also been going on ministering visits with some of the Young Men here, and it has been super fun. It is weird to think that not even 6 months ago I was where they are at. We have been having a Companion Study with them, and it has really helped them it seems, and also shown me just how much I have grown in these few months out here.

We also had this District service where we were going to be putting in a fence for someone. The service was in Wickenburg, and from Surprise it's about an hour. So we drove all the way out there, got to the person's house, and then the Sister's looked at their messages and saw that the person had canceled for the day. So we then went back to their apartment for some ice cream, and headed back to Surprise. Nice fun little road trip with the boys and stuff.

Well that's about it for this week, hopefully have some more fun stuff planned this week. But I hope you all have a fantastic day, and stay safe out there.

What is going on everyone?

I hope you all have had a fantastic week, my week has been pretty great. Nothing too exciting happened but the week flew by. We had our district council meeting in Wickenburg, and if you don't know where that is it is about an hour and a half away, so we got a mini road trip which was fun.

We have helped move so many people in or move them out recently. I'm starting to think people just think of us as professional movers. It has been super fun being able to do some actual manual labor rather than sit in front of a phone for hours on end.

So Mega Bed... we decided it was boring if we slept in different rooms. So us being the intelligent 18-20 year old boys we are decided to move all our beds into one room. It has been super fun though, I don't think I've gotten to bed on time one day this week, but it has been worth it... I think.

They finally started up 2nd hour church here, which is awesome. And this week the Bishop asked us to go to the Priests quorum. It felt super weird because about 6 months ago, I was one of them. But while we were in there they talked about what exhorting means, and I was like I have a really good example for that. So I was said I was gonna give the example to my companion and just have them watch. So I said to my companion "Elder Salazar I was thinking if you were like interested in maybe, I don't know possibly spending the rest of your life with me, if that works with your schedule." Then we talked about how if that was their girlfriend then that would not be a very good way to exhort her to marry. Then I said "What you should say is Elder Salazar will you marry me?" They all got a laugh out of that. So now they can say that in their Priest quorum that the missionaries proposed to each other in their class. 

My companion had his family come take us out to lunch because his brother was getting married in the Mesa temple. And lemme tell you it was weird. They kept calling him by his first name, and I was like no that is Elder Salazar. But it was cool for him because he hadn't seen his family in 19 months.

Arizona is TRULY a desert

Sup everyone,

Hope all has been well, I've been doing well. Arizona is pretty sick, and I have been enjoying the new area. We did some cool stuff this week, went on a forever long hike, and hung out with my pretty cool roommates.

Arizona is full of more cactus' than I can count, and more shades of brown than I need to know. Arizona is a nice place don't get me wrong but once you leave the city it is just dirt and cactus, also did you know that cactus' can be purple! Yea me neither. It has been warming up recently and I am not too excited about it, yesterday the temperature read 100 degrees and I had to check my watch to make sure I was still in April.

We went on a pretty long hike this morning, which took us 3 hours to hike, but it was pretty worth it. We hiked up the Whit Tank Mountains, which is a pretty cool name tbh, and it was awesome. Took us a while but it was fun. 

Since it was April fools this last week, I'm sure you could assume some stupid 18-20 year old boys did something dumb. Me and my companion took our roommates beds from their room and moved it into their study room and replaced their chairs, and it was great because they got home late and had to move all their stuff back at like 10:00 o'clock at night.

Biking in Arizona honestly isn't the worst thing in the world, because its flat everywhere. But the unfortunate thing is that it gets to 100 degrees in April, my summer is not looking too promising so wish me luck. But the awesome thing is that because of it I'll be in the best shape of my life, both spiritually, and physically. What more could you ask for?
