This man is still on a mission. πŸ˜‰

Sup y'all,

First off sorry if you were confused why you didn't get my email yesterday, since it is transfer week, which means that some missionaries get moved around, our P-day was Tuesday this week. This week was pretty wack, I'm not gonna lie. A lot happened but at the same time not a lot happened, if that makes sense, it does great.

So we started off the week like normal, we were just chillin, and then we got a request from someone who wanted a Bible dropped off at their house. So they sent us his Facebook account so we could get into contact with him. We then went on his account to send him a message and I look at a post that he has and it explains why the term Merry Christmas actually means Merry death of Christ, and that was like the funniest thing ever, because that is most definitely not true πŸ˜… So we then dropped off the Bible and left a note and definitely didn't write Merry Christmas on it.

We also had Christmas this week, so we didn't have to proselyte, which was a nice break. So mainly we just hung out with some other Elders, and played some board games. But while we were just hanging out I was talking with Elder Zollinger, who is an absolute stud btw. But someone had made us all hot chocolate, and Elder Zollinger was explaining how he isn't the biggest fan of hot chocolate. I asked him why, it's basically just like chocolate milk, and he says and I quote "Yea, chocolate milk that fights back." And we all just started dying, that man is someone I aspire to be like.

The night of Christmas day, our mission president allowed us to watch a Christmas movie. So as one does we went to the church to watch a movie, and we set up a mini movie theater in the church building, and trust me it was awesome. We had probably way to many Elders there, but it was still really fun nonetheless. We watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and it was a blast, would highly recommend trying that out.

I also had a pretty awesome experience this week that I thought I'd share with y'all. So one day this week we had 7 member lessons in one day and my companions wanted me to lead out on a few of them. So during my personal study I tried to plan out what I can teach during the lessons I lead out. So I was studying and this one scripture stood out to me for this one person in particular. It's 3 Nephi 15:9, πŸ”₯fire verse btw, but it talks about enduring to the end, and I thought yea that would be great for this person. So we went into the lesson, and we asked him how his prayers were doing. He explained that they were going well, he shared that the night before he was actually praying for help for once, with all the stuff he was going through. He told us while he was praying he saw this flash of light in his room, and once he opened his eyes it went away. So I didn't really think much of it, but then we shared the scripture with him, and in the scripture it's Jesus Christ talking, and he says "Behold, I am the law and the light..." and as he read that he just paused. I felt the Spirit so strongly once he read that verse, and it was really cool to see the Spirit guide me, so that way I can help bless someone else's life.

But that's about it for this week, I hope you are all doing well. I hope to hear from you all if you have the time. But stay safe out there everyone.

πŸŽ„πŸŽMerry ChristmasπŸŽπŸŽ„

What is cooking my good looking people,

How are you all doing? I hope you are all doing well, because I'm having some fun, that's for sure. This week has flown by and I have done some pretty wack stuff I'll tell you that. I've been in a trio for the past week so that means that we are covering multiple wards. So that has left our schedule crazy packed and it has made life pretty interesting.

We went from having maybe a lesson a day to having 3 or 4 of them a day. So we have been pretty busy and it's been fun. We have started teaching like 3 new people this week, and it has been really fun. There was a lesson this week where the guys literally told us that he wanted to get baptized and asked us what he had to do to get baptized. So of course we told him and it has been awesome to be able to help all these people come closer to Jesus Christ.

Another missionary near me went back to his original mission of Uruguay this week. And it has caused a ton of craziness to happen in our mission. Missionaries have been leaving left and right so I'm excited about what's going to happen to my area come this next transfer.

We had our Christmas party this week which was pretty weird. We weren't allowed to sit and talk with other missionaries outside of our apartment so it was just our trio at a table. We performed Elder There's COVID Outside, which was awesome. Had some waffles, tried to solve some puzzles that they had for us, the box said 6+ but I swear it was so hard I couldn't even finish half of it. The members of our stake made us Christmas stockings which was awesome, I got some pretty cool ties, and some sunglasses so you best know i was rocking them all week. But because there have been a lot of COVID cases popping up in Arizona a lot of people have been canceling our lessons which is a total bummer, but nonetheless we will press on.

But I hope you are doing well, let me know how you guys have been doing. There should be some pretty exciting stuff coming up soon so I'll be sure to let you guys know. Stay safe out there guys, love you all.

This man's on a missionπŸ˜‰...get it

What's happenin y'all,

I've been chilling here in Arizona, ironic I know. But this week a miracle happened, it actually rained for a little bit. All the Elders in my apartment thought it was crazy to see some rain for like the first time this year, and coming from Oregon I was like, umm I think I'd rather not see any more rain.

I was still quarantined in my apartment this last week which stinks, but I get out today so I'm pretty excited. But I've tried to make the most of it. No cooking disasters this week fortunately, but this Sunday we had a family drop us off dinner. We had been to their house before being quarantined, but their two kids drew us pictures, and they are the absolute best. It was such a confident boost knowing that someone cared about me here.

Also because of being quarantined we had to have our groceries delivered. So the person that ordered our groceries accidentally, ordered what we asked for twice plus what another apartment asked for. So we got three times the amount of food we asked for which has been awesome, needless to say I haven't been too hungry this week.

But this week was relatively mello, had a bunch of zoom lessons, which drive me nuts, because talking to people face to face is so much easier. But I'm trying to make the most of it, we had some pretty good lessons this week. We were teaching someone this week and he's been taught by other missionaries before, so he knows a decent amount about what we do, but we explained to him what we do as missionaries and taught him a little bit about our church, and then he asked us if he could come to church with us next Sunday. So of course we said no 😜

One of my roomates was originally assigned to Germany for his mission and got to go head there today. Which is really exciting but with that change I am gonna be in a trio for the next week, and both of our schedules are crazy packed so this week should be pretty fun. The best part of being in a trio is that now we get a car and don't have to bike anywhere for a while, which is awesome because that means my legs can take a good rest. Also one of my roomates is making a parody to Baby it's Cold Outside, and is calling it Elder there's COVID Outside, for our Christmas party so I'm pretty excited to see how this is gonna go. But this upcoming week should be pretty fun so hopefully my emails won't be as boring. But I hope you're all doing well, I'd love to hear from you guys and see how you are doing. Stay safe out there guys.

Week of Quarantine

Sup guys,

Hope you are all doing well, I'm chilling here in Arizona. I got some great new last Tuesday and by great I actually mean terrible. I found out that one of my roomates tested positive for COVID-19. So I have currently been quarantined for the last week, and will remain quarantined until the next one. So let's just say I'm super excited. πŸ˜‘

This last week has been pretty slow, I'm sure you can tell why. But nonetheless I've been trying to make the most of it. Ive been able to wear some of my more fun socks which has been good, and this week I tried cooking some new things because of all my free time. Let's just say most of my creations haven't ended well.

But before being quarantined last week we were having dinner at a members house and the couple asked us a rather interesting question. They asked when you run up behind someone and pull down their pants, do you call it being pants, or de-pants. When they asked that question I laughed so hard. So now I really wanna know if its pants or de-pants, so if you have the answer to that question feel free to let me know.

Nothing else worthy of note this week. But I'd love to hear from you guys to see how you've been doing, and I hope you are all doing well and staying safe out there.
